TAALAPATRA VIBES — TERMS OF USE
Last Reviewed: 28th February 2026
These Terms of Use govern the conditions for accessing and using www.taalapatra.com (the "Site"), owned and operated by Taalapatra Vibes ("Taalapatra," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting, browsing, or purchasing on this Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. They apply to every interaction and transaction on the Site — particularly regarding our handloom, handcrafted, and culturally inspired décor and textile products. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or our services.
1. Eligibility to Use
By using our Site, you confirm that:
a) You are at least 18 years old, or are accessing the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
b) You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
c) You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using our services.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features (e.g., wishlists, order tracking), you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:
a) Keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
b) Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
c) All activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or suspicious activity.
3. Nature of Our Products — The Beauty of Handmade
Taalapatra offers handcrafted, handwoven, and hand-painted products, each made with care by skilled artisans. Please understand:
a) No two pieces are exactly alike. Variations in colour, weave, print, brush strokes, and texture are inherent to handmade items and are not defects.
b) Our handloom fabrics, sarees, and décor items may exhibit minor inconsistencies or natural dye variations — these are a hallmark of authentic craftsmanship, not imperfections.
c) Handmade products are not mass-produced and may take longer to prepare, ship, or restock.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and accept these characteristics mentioned in this Disclaimer page.
4. Cultural & Artistic Representation
The descriptions and stories shared on our website are intended to enhance your appreciation of traditional art forms. Many of our designs, motifs, and artworks are inspired by India's rich cultural, spiritual, and regional heritage. Please note:
a) Our mythological, historical, and symbolic references are drawn from folklore, regional interpretations, and artisan storytelling — not from definitive historical records.
b) Cultural beliefs and traditional narratives vary across communities and geographies; they are best appreciated as expressions of heritage rather than absolute facts.
c) Products featuring spiritual motifs or religious symbols are offered with deep artistic respect and do not claim to provide any spiritual or material benefit.
We encourage all customers to engage with these creations through a lens of cultural respect and open-minded appreciation.
5. Product Images vs. Actual Product
We make every effort to present our products as accurately as possible. However:
a) Photographs may vary slightly due to lighting, camera settings, and screen resolutions.
b) Natural dyes and hand-painting techniques may cause subtle colour shifts from batch to batch.
c) These differences are not considered flaws and are part of the authentic character of handcrafted products.
If you require clarity about a product before purchase, please reach out to our support team. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and accept these characteristics mentioned in this Disclaimer page.
6. Product Availability & Pricing
a) All products are subject to availability and may be discontinued or replaced at our discretion.
b) Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) by default and include GST for Indian customers.
c) International orders may attract customs duties or import taxes, which are not included in our prices and are the buyer's sole responsibility.
d) We reserve the right to correct errors or update pricing and product details without prior notice.
7. Payments
Payments are securely processed through trusted third-party gateways. We accept:
a) Credit and Debit Cards
b) Net Banking
c) UPI and Mobile Wallets
d) Razorpay and PayPal (for international orders)
Taalapatra does not store your payment card details. Orders are confirmed only after successful payment authorisation.
8. Shipping & Delivery
Please review our full Shipping & Delivery Policy for timelines and applicable charges. Key highlights:
a) Processing times vary for ready-stock versus made-to-order items.
b) Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary based on location, customs clearance, or courier delays.
c) Tracking information will be shared upon dispatch.
d) Delivery issues must be reported promptly upon receipt. Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for the applicable reporting timelines and procedures.
9. Returns & Exchanges
As most of our products are handmade or made to order, we follow a clear and fair policy:
a) Returns are accepted only in cases of genuine defects or incorrect items received.
b) All claims must be accompanied by an original, unedited unpacking video.
c) Custom or personalised products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
d) Items received through an exchange order are not eligible for further return or exchange. We request you to choose your preferred colour, size, or product carefully at the time of placing an exchange request.
Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for complete instructions.

10.5 Restrictions
a) eGift Cards cannot be reloaded, refunded, cancelled, or transferred once issued. Exception: eGift Cards issued by Taalapatra as part of a return or refund resolution — whether for domestic or international orders — may, upon the customer's explicit written request to our support team via email or WhatsApp, be issued to a recipient of the customer's choice as a goodwill gesture from Taalapatra. This is subject to the conditions described in our Return & Refund Policy. All other eGift Card terms apply equally to any such recipient.
b) They cannot be used to purchase other Taalapatra eGift Cards.
c) They are non-redeemable for cash or credit in any form.
10.6 Lost, Stolen, or Unauthorised Use
a) The purchaser or recipient is solely responsible for safeguarding the Gift Card code.
b) Taalapatra Vibes is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or unauthorised use once the card has been issued to the intended recipient. Where a customer has requested the eGift Card to be issued to a third-party recipient and has provided an email address for this purpose, Taalapatra's responsibility is fulfilled upon sending the eGift Card to that email address. Taalapatra is not liable if an incorrect or invalid email address was provided by the customer.

14. Disclaimer
The Site and its contents are provided "as is" and "as available."
a) We do not guarantee error-free, uninterrupted, or virus-free operation of the Site. Users should employ appropriate antivirus software and device safeguards.
b) We strive to present accurate and up-to-date product information; however, we do not guarantee that descriptions, images, pricing, or availability will always be complete, reliable, or free from errors. We reserve the right to amend typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time and without prior notice.
c) Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by logistical delays, adverse weather, customs clearance, or other circumstances beyond our control.
d) We have taken care to represent product colours as accurately as possible; however, actual colour display may vary depending on your device's screen settings and cannot be guaranteed to be precise.
If a product you purchase does not match its description, image, or colour representation on the Site, your recourse is to return it in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy. Please also refer to our Disclaimer page for full details before making any purchase.
15. Third-Party Links & Linking to Our Site
a) Our Site may include links to external websites for your convenience. These websites are not owned, managed, or operated by Taalapatra Vibes. By choosing to access them, you acknowledge that you are leaving our Site. We hold no responsibility for the content, policies, practices, or activities of any external platform.
b) Creating or maintaining any link to any page of our Site from another website — or displaying, embedding, or framing any part of our Site or its content without our prior written consent — is strictly prohibited. By accessing, browsing, using, or purchasing from www.taalapatra.com, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
a) You have read, understood, and accept the authenticity disclosures, handmade nature, and cultural heritage representations stated in our Disclaimer (www.taalapatra.com/pages/disclaimer).
b) You agree to the Privacy & Data Protection Policy outlined in our Privacy Policy (www.taalapatra.com/pages/privacy-policy).
c) You consent to the Cookies Usage & Management Policy set out in our Cookie Policy (www.taalapatra.com/pages/cookie-policy).
d) You accept the Return, Exchange & Refund Policy described in our Return & Refund Policy (www.taalapatra.com/pages/return-and-refund-policy).
e) You agree to the Shipping & Delivery Policy contained in our Shipping Policy (www.taalapatra.com/pages/shipping-and-delivery-policy).
f) You consent to receive electronic communications and records — including notices, invoices, and disclosures — unless you withdraw that consent as permitted by applicable law.
g) All policies referenced above form an integral part of these Terms of Use and are incorporated herein by reference.
h) You agree to be bound by any future updates or revisions to these Terms and related policies. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
i) You understand that handcrafted products naturally exhibit variations in weave, print, colour, and finish; such characteristics alone do not constitute defects beyond what is covered in our policies.

k) You agree that any dispute will be handled in accordance with the Dispute Resolution Framework set out in Section 18 of these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms or the incorporated policies, please discontinue use of the Site and refrain from placing orders. For questions or assistance, please refer to Section 19.
18. Dispute Resolution Framework
We always prefer an amicable resolution. If something goes wrong with your order, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly once we speak.
Quality Check Finality: Taalapatra's quality team holds the sole and final authority on all product condition assessments, whether for domestic or international orders. The outcome of any quality check conducted by Taalapatra is conclusive and binding for the purposes of determining return, exchange, or refund eligibility. Customers who disagree with a quality check outcome may proceed through the dispute resolution steps below.
18a. Direct Dialogue
We will aim to resolve the matter by email, WhatsApp, or phone within five (5) business days. Direct negotiation is the quickest and least costly path for all parties.
18b. Voluntary Mediation
If resolution through direct dialogue is not achieved, either party may invite a neutral mediator accredited by the Odisha State Legal Services Authority. Mediation is voluntary, confidential, and typically faster than formal legal proceedings.
18c. Binding Arbitration
Should mediation not resolve the dispute, it may be referred to sole arbitration seated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, under the Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.
i) Rules & Language: Proceedings shall follow the Act's Part I defaults. All hearings and filings shall be conducted in English.
ii) Award: The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any competent court.
iii) Costs: The arbitrator may apportion fees and expenses as deemed fair.
18d. Small-Claims Carve-Out
Either party may opt for the civil judge (small-cause court) if the amount in dispute falls below the monetary ceiling fixed for such courts in Odisha. This route does not require prior mediation or arbitration.
18e. Collective Actions
All proceedings must be brought on an individual basis. Class, collective, or representative actions are waived to the extent permitted by Indian law.
18f. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms — and any dispute not resolved through the steps above — shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause in 18c, the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha (India) hold exclusive jurisdiction.
